a. Awareness Raising In Schools
Awareness camps were conducted in the 17 primary schools including SSK of adopted villages under FHFI-II programme. After Awareness Raising in School, it was found that the child cabinet, constituted by 5(five) Minister with 4 Sub-Committee members each, had been playing a major role in involving the students in day to day school activities and creating a sense of responsibility and leadership among them. The cabinet also formed a platform for students to discuss and address issues related to education, sanitation and other activities.
In order to strengthen the child cabinet a drama competition containing role and responsibilities of the cabinet (10 minutes duration) was organized at Nimpith (SRAN HQ) on Rogo Mukti (Wash programme), Sangi Shikshan (Decrease of School Dropout) and Susama Khadyavas (Improving nutrient rich MDM preparation) with a view to developing their skill on social activities as well as increasing their own understanding in their rights and shaping their personality.
Other than that quiz competition on Health and Nutrition was also conducted in the primary school with the members of child cabinet and students of class 3rd and 4th standard. This quiz competition imparted health awareness to the children to a great extent.
